Weekend Movie Recommendations, or Party Time With Punk Rock Zombies in Return of The Living Dead

The 80’s horror scene was dominated by the big three, Jason, Michael and Freddy.  It was the age of the slasher movie and there was very little room for anything else, until Return of The Living Dead (1985) splattered across the screen.  Arguably the greatest 80’s zombie movie, the misadventures at the Uneeda Medical Supply breathed new life into a dying genre with fast zombies that could talk and craved brains.
Crammed full of dark humor, analog effects and an energetic punk rock soundtrack by 45 Grave, The Cramps and The Damned, Return of The Living Dead was written and directed by Dan O’Bannon, most famous for writing Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979).  With scream queen Linnea Quigley in a career-defining role as Trash, the punk rock zombie, Clu Gulager, and Don Calfa as Ernie, the possibly ex-Nazi war criminal turned funeral director.
And remember, the events portrayed in this film are true and the names were not changed, it said so in the beginning of the movie…

my first novel? thanks for asking:) I wrote a 4 book supernatural martial arts series concerning the ongoing feud between a group of kung-fu killer witches in san francsico’s chinatown.
